Manaan map for JK3

This will be my thread where I'll post my progress on the Manaan project, mostly the updates will be pics and some blablabla...

Well I've got Ebon Hawk ready and I'm currently working on the hangar area, from where I'll continue with the rest of the docking area.

Other parts coming when I start with them, I will be maybe adding some rooms etc just to make the map more enjoyable.

The underwater part will be added, but more on that much later...

Remember:

A project doesn't become good without criticism, so please tell me your ever though about it so that the map will get as good as it can

I really dont want to kill your enthusiasm, but I can rip the map directly from kotor and convert it.

But since I have NO idea how to convert it, you got the fun of doing whatever ya like with it. If you need some pictures to help you get the scene of it, let me know.

Progress update:

-Ebon Hawk (with textures and all)
-All textures (except some sky-boxes are bugging)

-The hangar area (8% complete)

first there are some symbols and commercial signs
Then there's the floor texture
Then it's the sky-box (made through a real picture that I modified very heavily to look like the manaan sky-box)
Then it's a wall texture
And finally a door texture

EDIT: Ebon Hawk coming soon when i've gotten the textures a bit better

Progress update

I've been busy with the textures, because I've had much problems with them. But now I can continue with my map again.

The progress I'm showing here is a little old, but it should give an image of some places.

!!! These pictures are a work-in-a-progress (WIP) project, so any of these will not look like on the pics, but it'll give you an image of the progress!!

The textures are still too light, and they are kinda in a poor resolution right now. I'll change them to better ones later, but now I just want to get the proportions right

Details will be added to the map when it's almost finished

I'll release a little beta of the hangar area when I've finished that area

Nice job man. Keep up the good work.

The Ebon Hawk looks extremely good. The build lighting is the only problem I have with that.
The corridor you made looks too blocky in my opinion. It would look really nice curved like everything is in Star Wars. Other than that, it looks great for a start.

Edit: And another thing, I would worry about the models first, then the textures later.

I just wanted to show some things, i'm not going to texture everything at the same time (takes too long and if you get something wrong it's a pain in the ass to fix it :/ )

More progress update coming when i've got time to map on my map...

wondering how its gonna look, the skybox is just amazing,

I've lately been busy with school (so many projects to be done etc.) so there has been minimum work on the map (but I'll start working on it again with more time now I've finished my projects etc. )

I've patched GTK radiant to 1.6.2 which took forever to fix and make work with JK3.

So now I have time to work on it and I've got GTK radiant patched/upgraded to a level where it's much easier to map on the map

I've started to work again on my manaan map, so it'll take some time to upload progress pictures, but for now I'll just upload a picture that shows the room where you go from the hangar to the main corridors

the roof hasn't any round shapes because the fog makes it so that you won't see the edges. I can't upload any in-game pictures cause my steam is bugging somehow and i haven't been able to connect to steam this whole day.

Mb2 is dieing tbh I wouldnt work on it anymore, was a good idea at the time but for a dead game not so much.

Been working on the textures lately and i am finally proud to present the final base hangar texture and some of the manaan door textures (that i remade from the original kotor) ^_^

Took some time to get it almost perfect

This map is just a project i will coninue at time to time, so it might never be released

agreed we need to move onto another game mb2 is dying i recommend tf2 since its free to play or gmod because of the low cost.

We have minecraft, but this map is still under work because of nostalgia attacks i sometimes get and then i have to continue mapping XD
